Empower Yourself Against Cybercrime: How to Report Incidents to FIA Cyber Wing

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to register and report your complaint:

The FIA Cyber Wing offers multiple ways to file your complaint:

  1. Online Complaint: This is the quickest and easiest option. Visit the FIA Complaint Registration Portal (https://fia.gov.pk/complaints_dept) and choose “Register Complaint” followed by “Cyber Crime Complaint.” Fill out the form meticulously, including:

    • Full Name
    • CNIC
    • Contact Information Details
    • Crime Category (Only one Crime Category option is available as selected in the screenshot).
    • A clear description of the cybercrime (be specific!)
 Once all the required information is entered in the registration form, next step is enter Captcha and affirm the provided information is correct, and finally submit complaint.
  1. Email Complaint: If you prefer email, send a detailed message explaining your experience to helpdesk.cyber@fia.gov.pk. Include your name, CNIC number, contact information, and a clear description of the crime. Don’t forget to attach any supporting evidence you have, like screenshots, emails, or chat logs. 

  2. In-Person Complaint: Visit your nearest FIA Cybercrime Reporting Center (https://fia.gov.pk/ccw). Centers operate during weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You can submit a written complaint form with your details and a clear explanation of the cybercrime. FIA officials might ask questions and guide you further.

4. Phone Complaint: Call the FIA Cyber Crime Wing Helpline at 1991 (Weekdays, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Have your details and a clear explanation of the cybercrime ready to provide to the representative. Furthermore, contact details of cyber crime regional offices are also available, as shown below.
